I am flying to key west in august and I am scared?
chrissy asked:
I am scared, because last year we took a Delta flight and when we landed back in NYC we had to sit on the runway for 30 mins. Are there any airine companies that don’t have their customers waiting that long on the runway. Also, there was only 2 rows. Are there any planes that have 3 rows so I won’t feel that claustrophobic?

Fly into Miami with a larger plane and plan a nice drive down to Key West in a comvertable. Its a fun ride and you dont have to get on the tiny propeller panes.

First off you were not sitting on the runway for 30 Min’s. Air traffic control wouldn’t allow. It was probably the taxiway or tarmac.
NYC’s airspace is crowed. You will be sitting for a few minutes, accept that fact or fly out of somewhere else…
Key west is a fairly small airport. You probably flew on a CRJ-200, which is a smaller plane.
If you wanna fly on a bigger plane for whatever reason, fly into Orlando.
Good Luck and have fun in Florida.

much like comair has stated(runway ect..)
KW is a small airport so you will prob be going to Miami then hoping to KW in a small prop plane or a small jet…
Take some motion sickness pills if needed…dont look out the window and try to get some sleep or just have your eyes closed….
NY has HUGE airports with ALOT of traffic so you might be waiting to takeoff for up to 20 mins( i was on a taxiway waiting to take off in philly once for over 30 mins ) but just enjoy it look at the planes land and everyone of them are safe!!!!
Listen to your flight crew and if you are really that scared just ask one of them for what you should do..trust me they will have an answer of some sort!!
Hope you enjoy your stay in Florida the home of the tourist!!
Hope you have a great flight……

You didn’t sit on a runway for 30 minutes. You sat on a taxiway.
No, airline companies don’t control traffic on the airport.
You should schedule to arrive when there is little traffic on the airport.
You should have been flown back to Key West so you could drive to NYC.
Three rows won’t help; you’re a complainer.

Im not sure bout waiting but usually the smaller ones seem to ride smoother. Yet the larger ones would seem to ride safer..if the ride is a long distance youll probably get a big plane
