Is it better to be in Miami or Key West for labor day weekend?

I am trying to decide if it would be better to be in Miami or Key West for labor day weekend. I would imagine that Key West would be more laid back. Would it be cheaper as well (for hotels and such)? Would I kick myself in the **** for not being in Miami during labor day weekend? Thanks guys!

miami south beach omg lots of partys alot of fun and when your wasted in the morning you can just go to the beach

Both are fun places to visit. Key West is laid back like you said. There is a strip of bars and you can bar hop. I don’t think you would be disappointed.
Miami has nice nightclubs, so if you like to get dressed up go there.
Key West is probably cheaper, especially because Miami restaurants and clubs can be very expensive.

Miami and Key West are both huge party areas, if you were looking to party and be where it’s at but also wanted to get some snorkeling/scuba, parasailing, boating, etc., I would suggest going to Miami and possibly driving to Key Largo or Islamorada so you get both. It’s a 1 1/2-2 hour drive depending on where you go, so you could be in MIA for the parties and in the Keys for some laid back chill beach time!

Key west def more laid back and bars.
Miami is a bigger party vibe, CROWDED , clubs but def alot of fun!

Really depends on what you are in the mood for.
Mami – South Beach is going to be packed and covers/drinks are going to be high.
Key West – like you said is more laid back / chill.
Considering you are doing this on a holiday weekend, everywhere is going to be a little higher than normal.
