Is it going to be rainy in miami and key west all week. Leaving for my honeymoon on Sunday?

Michelle H asked:

Is it raining all the time? Weather forecasts thunderstorms for all week. Someone thats down there please tell me, will we still be able to go sightseeing, to the beach and to the marlins game? Could it be gone by the end of the week?

Take a peek at this link
The giant swirling mass over Florida (and Georgia now) is a tropical storm (one step below a hurricane). It’s a VERY BIG storm. Its has been going on for some time now, so it may start petering out, but it will definitely take a while, and even longer for the flooding to subside. In case you’ve missed the news, the President officially declared at state of emergency for Florida because of the flooding.

Super sucky that your honeymoon will be during the storm, but that’s why it’s always important to research your destination, just because it’s a sun spot doesn’t mean it’s always sunny.

Hi I live in Key West:

The chance of rain on any day is 30% and if it does rain its for an hour then sunny again. So because of the 30% chance that it will rain for an hour you get the big thunderstorm icon on the forecast for the whole day. Very misleading, shouldn’t rain at any point that would ruin your day. Enjoy our island.
