What’s the weather like this time of year in Palm Beach/Miami/Key West?

We are planning to spend Christmas down there and I am just wondering what the weather is usually like this time of year. I assume it’s quite warm compared to NYC, but I am worried we will get stuck indoors due to storms or rainy weather. I would also like to know what the water temperatures are.

It’s actually raining right now.
however, I dont need a jacket to go out side im in some cargo shorts and a t-shirt lol!
It’s been rather warm all week I don’t expect it to get any nippier outside.

Water is around 65, it’s just better to swim in a heated pool.
Weather is cloudy but it won’t last long, definitely not cold! We’re having around 70 today and it will go up next week.

Our winters are mild here in Florida, but it IS winter. Pack as if you were going to Maine or Minnesota in early May. Be prepared for some warm sunny days and nights in the low 70s, but also be prepared for wind and rain with days in the 50s and nights that can get down into the 40s. People who bring only shorts and sandals often find themselves paying tourist prices for ugly sweatshirts they never would have bought at home. Even on warm sunny days there can be a brisk wind from frozen Canada, so bring something warm to wrap up in when you get out of the sea.

it’s in the 70s more south but a cold spell is coming in a few days so it will be in the 60s

the weather right now is great i live in miami beach and it is sunny and about 75F just great, water temp though in the ocean might be a bit cold around 70
