The keys are expensive to live in. And Key West, even more so. When we were looking there we couldn’t find a 1-bedroom apartment for under $1,000 a month.

Florida is expensive and you might have trouble getting a decent job. I understand that Raleigh, NC is the best place for women to get hired.

it is very expensive to live there and a good portion of the population is ***. why would you want to move your kids so far away from their father?

Babe, Key West is probably one of the most expensive places in Florida you could choose. It is not a family oriented place at all but is a large, *** community. It is a great place but is super-expensive for housing and not for kids at all.
Think about the West Coast of Florida like Fort Myers or inland around Ocala. They are less expensive by far and it is still Florida. Anywhere in the Keys are going to be very expensive for housing.
