what side of Key West is better, Atlantic or Gulf?

my granddad has a house in key west and I lived there for many years. Atlantic is really your only optionsfar as beaches go. the other side is the florida bay. If you haven’t already paid for the tickets you might reconsider and go to Fort Lauderdale or south beach. Key west is over rated, expensive and over developed. Better yet go to Manuel Antonio costa rica for about the same price or less.
