Where to stay in Key West?

My friend and I are going to Key West on vacation in December and are trying to find a hotel. It needs to be a reasonable price, clean and preferably have a bar in the hotel. We would also like it by some night clubs and close to the beach. Let me know if you have a few hotels you have heard of or stayed at.

1 – everything is close to a bar
2 – everything is close to the beach
3 – Reasonable hotel is around $198 – if you can find one.
4 – typical hotel in December will be $250
