Trying Florida Yacht Charters

Are you planning a trip to Florida soon? Maybe you have never considered the idea of chartering a yacht for that vacation? The truth is that one of the many different Florida yacht charters can be one of the most exciting and unique experiences you will ever have.

Florida yacht charters can be truly exciting no matter what kind of charter you choose, whether it be a power boat or a sail yacht. Most yacht charters in Florida have something for every taste and budget. In fact, many different yachting magazines rate Florida’s gulf coast as the top chartering destination in the US.

Where to find the perfect yacht charters in Florida? Fort Lauderdale is known as the “place” to charter any type of yacht. All the international charter brokers and crews have an office in Fort Lauderdale and the boat show held there, is the largest in the USA. Of course there are other yacht charters in Florida, in other cities, and they are very easy to find.

Where to go once you have chartered your yacht? The Florida Keys are the most popular areas for sailing and there are enough sights to keep you busy for several days. The Keys are over 100 miles long and are grouped into five major areas, although each area has many different islands and communities within. Each group of islands has its own distinct flavor and culture, and all five areas should be visited.

Among the different groups are:

• Key Largo – This is one of the closest of the Key islands, and boasts an artificial reef made by a 510 ft sunken warship, the underwater state part. This is a great place for divers and snorkels. Restaurants and amenities abound for all yacht charters in Florida, including a wide variety of restaurants and equipment shops.

• Islamorada – The purple island is located deep in the heart of the Florida Keys and is a great area for sport fishing and other water activities.

• The lower Keys include Cudjoe Key, Big Pine Key, Sugarloaf Key as well as a few others. This small group of islands is best known for their abundance of natural wildlife and beauty.

• Key West is known for its tropical culture and is most like the Caribbean with beautiful azure waters and rich historical attractions.

There are other places that you might also consider exploring on one of the yacht charters. You might enjoy sailing into several of the bays, rivers and barrier islands. There are many upscale marinas and parks which you can visit while on your charter.

The ease of chartering a yacht in Florida makes it one of the best choices for people with little experience in yacht charters. If you do decide to take one of the many yacht charters in Florida, you will be sure to have some of the most fantastic vacation memories of your life.

What’s the nicest place you’ve ever vacationed?

Leafy asked:

The Florida Keys are nice, but the crown of them lies in the middle keys. The people are kind, the attractions family friendly, and the cheesy souvenir shops few and far between. Not to mention, the water is beautiful and fishing great.

Where’s the nicest place, in all definitions of the word, that you’ve ever vacationed?

Can someone decipher a dream I had about Barack Obama?

. asked:

I had the craziest dream last night. I dreamt that Obama was elected president and he called me to go marlin fishing with him off the Florida Keys. I snagged a huge marlin that pulled me into the water. Barack jumped in and rescued me. Is that weird or what?

If a fish hook is painful for the fish, why then have I so often witnessed?

SCE2AUX asked:

…a fish biting on the bait, then swimming calmly as if nothing had happened – until it reaches the end of the slack in the line. I’ve seen this happen many times in the clear waters of the Florida Keys with 6-12 inch grunts and snappers.
I’ve seen some good answers here. I asked this question in the conservation section as well. If you go there, you’ll see that they had some excellent ideas, as I expected.
