Just about any one and everybody concerned with search engine optimization and Internet marketing knows the famous “Florida” update by Google that led to many commercial sites to lose their Google ranking and position.
What many failed to recognize is that Google has each right to make algorithm changes and if they decide to drop sites that are lacking importance, it is their business.
Lists in Google’s main search directory are free. Google does not owe anybody, anything, least of all a rationalization of their algorithm changes.
Google, being an independent company, reserves the legal right to run their business as their management sees fit. Tarpon fishing.
If the results that Google serve lack important lists, then find another engine to use. It has occurred before and it’ll happen again.
As for the commercial sites who have been battered by the Florida update these are some ideas. Com has been using their complicated technology and experience to recover info for companies and people alike for over ten years.
