The Florida Keys.
The waters around Key Largo are a protected sea park with a particularly healthy fish life and offer the best diving In America. There’s even an underwater hotel with two guestrooms for brave types. One collection of shops has a giant statue of a prickly lobster out in front. There are sign markers along the main US number one road that mark each mile along the 120 mile route. Most addresses in the Florida Keys along the main road will really refer to which mile marker they are found near. It takes three hours to drive from Key Largo to the far end at Key West but quite likely, visitors would need to stop off at many locations on the way for shopping, photograph opportunities or simply admiring the view. The view gets better as one heads out more west, particularly close to the bridges that connect the islands. The Florida Keys are the string of islands just south of the Florida mainland and runs 120 miles from end to finish.
For snorkellers and scuba divers going to south Florida, I’d consider Florida Keys a must have. Key Largo is the 1st town as you enter the Keys after crossing the bridge from the mainland. Once the bridge from the mainland is crossed, the change in pace is spotted right away.
For people that are not into diving, there are many shops with colorful local humanities and crafts.

The town of Key West at the far end of the Florida Keys is the biggest community in the islands and a stay here for a night or 2 is definitely worth it. We stayed at the Quality Hotel close to the entrance of the town and had no problem getting downtown since there’s a really convenient bus system that runs through Key West. The seafood is predictably really fresh in cafes everywhere in the Florida Keys. Some local specialties not to be missed are conch, local prickly lobster and some types of the local fish including snapper and grouper. Each eaterie has a touch different recipe but usually, the authentic key lime pie here isn’t as sweet as the commercial brands often found in the remainder of North America. This is an alternative choice for some travelers, particularly those that are scuba diving in Key Largo as Florida Town is only about twenty mins away if hostels in Key Largo are totally prepared or at summer season rates. The Florida Keys has a technique of tempting visitors back during return visits to south Florida.
