The Florida Keys.

Once the bridge from the mainland is crossed, the change in pace is spotted instantly. There’s a lot less traffic and folks just appear more relaxed in the Florida Keys compared to the mainland. There’s even an underwater hotel with 2 guestrooms for brave types.

This was a previous sea research unit that was converted to the hotel. Here’s a superb article on the subject of
fishing in key west.

One collection of shops has a giant statue of a prickly lobster out in front. For more fun, there are 2 dolphin centers, one in Key Largo and another near Marathon where visitors can have interaction with captive dolphins. Most addresses in the Florida Keys along the main road will basically refer to which mile marker they are found near. The view gets better as one heads out more west, particularly near the bridges that connect the islands. A typical sight to see are neighbors fishing off the bridges and many pelicans standing on the posts like permanent fixtures. The Florida Keys are the string of islands just south of the Florida mainland and runs 120 miles from end to finish. For snorkellers and scuba divers going to south Florida, I’d consider Florida Keys a must have. Most addresses in the Florida Keys along the main road will really refer to which mile marker they are found near. One of the most impressive sights is the 7 mile bridge which is the planet’s longest split bridge. We selected to leave our auto at the hotel and use the buses because parking can be limited in the downtown area. The Florida Keys has a strategy of attracting visitors back during return visits to south Florida.
